Out of Town Travel

The Office of Housing & Residence Life provides a free shuttle service to the Amtrak station in Cumberland, MD on the day halls are scheduled to close for major break periods (Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break). The times for this shuttle service are based on the Amtrak Capitol Limited train schedule, which can be accessed online at https://www.amtrak.com/home.html. Space is limited on this shuttle and you must make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance. To make a shuttle reservation, stop by the Office of Housing & Residence Life in University Place, call the office at 304-788-7407 or contact us via email at pschousing@mail.wvu.edu. If you have to cancel your reservation, please notify the office at least 24 hours in advance to allow the space to open up for other students. Please note: these are the ONLY transportation arrangements offered through the Office of Housing & Residence Life.

The BayRunner Shuttle Service also provides transportation to and from regional airports, including in Cumberland, MD. More information can be found online at bayrunnershuttle.com .

Taxi service is limited around Keyser but two companies are available. Queen City Taxi can be contacted at 301-722-2800 and the Yellow Cab Company can be reached at 304-788-3531.

Students can also utilize the Uber app for ride booking, based on availability in the Keyser area.
